Driven harrow description

Driven disc harrow (also known as power-driven harrow) is a land preparation machine that uses the tractor power output shaft (PTO) to drive the harrow group to rotate actively. Compared with passive traction disc harrows, its core advantage lies in the ultra-high soil crushing rate, more thorough soil crushing and higher surface flatness. The rotating blade (harrow teeth or notched disc) cuts the soil at a tangential speed of 6-9m/s, with a soil crushing rate of more than 90%, and one operation can meet the requirements of the seedbed.

Driven disc harrows can improve soil efficiently, deeply mix organic fertilizers/green manures (improve the uniformity of mixed fertilizers by 40%), improve the 20cm tillage layer structure, and increase production potential by 8-15%.

Driven harrow application

Luyuan driven disc harrows are mainly used with high-horsepower tractors to operate in heavy clay soils. Driven disc harrows are suitable for all-round operation in paddy and dry fields. In paddy fields, harrow roller disc harrows are preferred. The harrow roller design can efficiently raise the mud, and the mud depth can reach 8-12cm after land preparation before transplanting, with a coverage rate of >95%. In dry fields, horizontal rotary disc harrows are preferred. The notched disc harrow blades have a stronger ability to cut off crop stubble (stubble elimination rate ≥85%), which is suitable for corn/wheat stubble treatment.
